Good morning, Greeley.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife met with Washington officials Saturday to request additional gray wolves, but Washington declined due to the species’ endangered status—CPW will now need to find another source as it plans to add 15 wolves next year.

This follows a recent federal decision that prevented importing wolves from Canada after relocating 15 wolves last year.

Some Colorado lawmakers and Adams County families say Governor Polis’s budget proposal, which calls for a 6% Medicaid increase instead of the needed 12%, will limit key services for children with disabilities—families fear cuts could end supports like Community Connector and vital therapies for their young children.
