Good morning, Greeley.

Rising pet food prices are making it hard for families to feed their pets and driving Colorado Pet Pantry to expand its assistance.

The nonprofit, which served 125000 animals over the past year, brought extra supplies to a recent event in Greeley—an effort to help keep pets with their families.

On Tuesday, Colorado residents saw the aurora borealis in one of the best displays in recent memory — visible on smartphones and to the naked eye.

The light show spread across the state and sparked excitement among viewers.

The government shutdown ended Wednesday when the president signed a bill that funds operations until the end of January and extends SNAP benefits for a full year—Gov. Jared Polis said Colorado will start depositing November SNAP payments today for all 600,000 enrolled residents.
