Good morning, Greeley.

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment has planned four electronics recycling events using a $100,000 grant from Colorado’s Supplemental Environmental Project program.

The funding fully covers two summer events (one in Greeley and one in Severance) and the department will host two additional events in 2026.

The Greeley City Council is exploring a potential 0.5% sales tax increase to raise $12 million to $14 million for public safety, housing and homeless solutions or economic development—polling of 500 residents showed most would approve the tax if it were the only increase on the ballot. The council will use these findings in upcoming meetings to guide its decision.
