  • Kyle Bentley announced his bid for re-election for the Greeley-Evans District 6 Board of Education and said he will raise academic standards & protect classroom instruction if re-elected. He was first elected in November 2021 and became vice president in March.  1310 KFKA

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Colorado's snowpack fell to the 5th percentile—averaging only 58% compared to its April 7 peak of 89%. Forecasts say rain will ease shortages in the next 14 days—yet severe drought will develop in southern Colorado and the Eastern Plains within about three months.  CBS Colorado
  • A new report from the American Lung Association shows the Denver-Aurora-Greeley area had 13.7 days of high ozone pollution—ranking it as the sixth worst in the nation for air quality. Colorado Springs ranked 23rd in the report.  CBS Colorado

  • The Weld Judicial District in partnership with the Greeley Municipal Court is holding a Warrant Clearance Day on Friday from 1-4 p.m. at the Weld County Combined Court Centennial Center — eligible individuals can clear warrants for Greeley municipal and Weld County misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and select felony drug charges without arrest.  1310 KFKA
