  • The nonprofit Raise the Future is matching caring adults with foster youth in Colorado—especially older youth, sibling groups and children with special needs—to help them find stable support.  CBS Colorado
  • National Day of Prayer events will occur at noon and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1 in Greeley. The noon gathering, held outside the Weld County Courthouse at 901 9th Ave—where community leaders including the city manager, police chief and fire chief are expected—will be led by Pastor Al Hernandez and is open to the public.  1310 KFKA

  • The Greeley-Evans District 6 board approved a motion this week to purchase land in Evans for a new school site to serve an expected increase of 1,500 students over the next 10 years—officials are in talks with seller Michael Wiedeman to acquire 74 acres at 4350 37th St for a potential high school or combined school site.  1310 KFKA
