Good morning, Greeley.

Officials from Colorado Parks and Wildlife said a gray wolf (2513) from a group of 20 wolves brought from Canada to Colorado in January died in Wyoming on April 11 at 7:43 p.m. They said they will work with Wyoming Game and Fish to retrieve its tracking collar and that no further details are available due to Wyoming laws.

A new water pipeline with a hydroelectric system may help stop rate hikes in Greeley.

Local officials say the project—if built—will use energy from water flows to lower costs and keep bills affordable.

A bill was introduced this week in the Colorado legislature to increase penalties for careless driving that causes serious bodily injury or death — under current law, a conviction carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Lawmakers plan to revise the statute to impose tougher penalties if the bill is approved.
